Ames Strain Identification Kit was developed specifically for use with commonly used Ames strains and can be used in conjunction with the Genotoxicity Ames Kit to identify strains with histidine/tryptophan defects, lipopolysaccharide barrier defects, resistance to benzylpenicillin (R-factor), resistance to tetracycline, and ultraviolet (uvrB) repair defects, to ensure that the strains meet the requirements of the Ames assay.
